Name :
Human Nectin4/PRR4/PVRL4 Protein, Extracellular Domain (ECD), Biotinylated, Recombinant

Description :
Nectin4 is a single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the Nectin family of the Immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF). Most Nectin family members function as cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) located on the cell surface and involved with the binding with other cells or with the extracellular matrix (ECM). Nectin4 contains 1 Ig-like V-type domain and 2 Ig-like C2-type domains in the extracellular region that promotes cell-cell contacts by forming homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimers. Heterophilic interactions have been detected between Nectin4 and Nectin1. A soluble form of Nectin4 can be produced by proteolytic cleavage at the cell surface by the metalloproteinase ADAM17/TACE. The secreted Nectin4 is found in both breast tumor cell lines and breast tumor patients. Nectin4 acts as a receptor for measles virus but not for alpha-herpesvirus entry into cells. Mutations in the Nectin4 gene are the cause of ectodermal dysplasia-syndactyly syndrome type 1, an autosomal recessive disorder.

Gene Symbol :
Ser349 region of Nectin4 and a C-terminal His-tag. Nectin4 ECD contains 1 potential N-linked glycosylation sites.

NCBI Gene ID :
81607

Uniprot Entry :
Q96NY8

Construct Details :
The recombinant human Nectin4 ECD protein is expressed as a 329-amino acid active form consisting of Gly32 – Ser349 region of Nectin4 and a C-terminal His-tag. Nectin4 ECD contains 1 potential N-linked glycosylation sites.
