Name :
Human CD93/C1qR1/CDw93/MXRA4 Protein, ECD (Extracellular Domain), Fc-fusion, Biotinylated, Recombinant

Description :
CD93 is a single-pass type I transmembrane protein and a member of the calcium dependent C-type lectin superfamily. CD93 contains 1 C-type lectin domain and 5 EGF-like domains in the extracellular region. CD93 was originally identified as a myeloid cell-specific marker and was thought to be a receptor for C1q. CD93 may be involved in intercellular adhesion and in the clearance of apoptotic cells. CD93 is highly expressed in endothelial cells, platelets, cells of myeloid origin, such as monocytes and neutrophils but not expressed in cells of lymphoid origin. CD93 interacts with HCV core protein. CD93 also binds C1qBP; the association may represent a cell surface C1q receptor. The intracellular cytoplasmic tail of CD93 may interact with moesin, a protein known to play a role in linking transmembrane proteins to the cytoskeleton and in the remodelling of the cytoskeleton.
